The Material Request and Approval module of Comply Plus Web is a perfect starting point for a formal Chemical Approval process, as well as for ongoing Chemical Management. The module provides closed loop feedback between the requestor of the material and the HSE professional that is the assessor of the request. The Material Request and Approval module of Comply Plus Web can be used as a starting point for Chemical Approval as well as for ongoing Chemical Management. This module is tightly integrated with all other existing modules in Comply Plus Web, which allows the user to enter data into the Material Request and Approval program and have the data available for other programs within the system. There are two major components of this module: Material Request, and Chemical Review and Approval. The Material Request portion allows a user to request approval for using material at his/her location. The requestor can enter information about the material such as contractor, requestor, vendor, MSDS, product usage, import or export, location, handling, etc. The Chemical Review and Approval process is designed to utilize the information from the requestor as the basis for the review and approval process. The reviewer may enter information such as: hazard list, reviewer, approval or disapproval, personal protective equipment, usage restrictions, etc. To ensure a comprehensive communication channel and help prevent lack of adequate response, the Material Request and Approval Module will automatically e-mail messages to requestors and approvers. These e-mails identify tasks that are active and in need of follow–up and include links to assist in completion of the task. An automatic e-mail notification is sent to a user or group of users when: - The user submits a request; the appropriate persons are notified of the request
- The request status is set to pending; all persons responsible for one or more tasks are notified
- A task that has dependencies is marked as completed; all persons for newly available tasks are notified
- A request has been closed (approved/rejected); notification is sent to the submitter and requestor
- An open request is closed and one or more tasks remain open; persons of the open task are notified
- A completed task is changed; the persons of all dependent tasks are notified
- An open task is closed, notification is sent to the approvers
